  • 仮定法について、まるっきり分かってないことが発覚。orz
  • if節が現在形 -> あり得る話（直説法）
    • 主節はそのままの時制になる
    • If you are sure you want to dye your hair, I will do it for you tomorrow afternoon.
  • wishがthat節を取る場合 -> that内は仮定法になる。形はif節と同じ。
  • if節で過去完了形 -> 過去の出来事
  • if only == I wish -> 仮定法で使う
  • 〜かどうかのif -> 時制は普通
    • Have you asked Margalet yet if she will be there because I want to meet her.
  • but for 〜 -> 〜が無ければ
    • without: 直説法○、仮定法○
    • but for: 直説法×、仮定法○

    • 現在の話: 過去形
    • 過去の話: 過去完了形

  • 仮定法の時制
    • よくある、↓の覚え方は危険なのでこれを機にやめるべし。
      • If S 過去, S 助動詞 + V
      • If S 完了, S have 助動詞 + V
    • 実際は、If節と主節それぞれの時制で決定される。自動的に決まるわけではない。
      • If I had passed the entrance examination last year, I would be a university student now.
  • But for -> 〜が無ければ -> 仮定法のみ
    • Without his help, I won't be able to do it.
    • Without his help, I wouldn't be able to do it.
      • これは、両方ともOK
  • If文中のwere to とshould
    • were to: 仮定法の現在と未来で「仮に」の意味
